The Ski Lodge Engelberg is a mountain lodge founded by two ski-loving friends to create the ultimate place for holidays in the mountains. Today, people from all over the world visit us who love the mountains as much as we do. Our concept is based on local knowledge of the village and the mountains, on employees who love good service as much as nature, on gourmet cuisine and creative design. The heart of the hotel
Brasserie Konrad is our pride and joy. From our kitchen come appetizers of Michelin quality, hamburgers, or an exciting reinterpretation of the classic tartar. Together with the bar, it is the heart of the hotel and is highly appreciated by travelers and locals alike. Our wine and avec menu is of high quality, and the producers are hand-selected. On busy evenings, we serve between 100 and 150 guests.

The position
You are responsible for the guest experience in Brasserie Konrad and the Ski Lodge Bar. You lead the restaurant and bar teams, are responsible for revenue, margin, and guest satisfaction, and are part of the hotel's management team. The position is hands-on: you are present in the house during peak service hours and also take care of budgeting, purchasing, duty scheduling, and reporting. Your working hours include day, evening, and weekend shifts, but mostly in the evening.

What we are looking for:
Genuine, unconditional love for the mountains and nature.
Extensive service experience, ideally from the hotel industry or high-end gastronomy.
Fluent English (oral and written) and good German skills.
Strong customer orientation and a friendly, professional appearance.
Confident handling of computer-based booking and payment systems.
You can handle stress and remain well-organized even during hectic service.
Knowledge of wine and spirits as well as knowledge and interest in food.

Your tasks and areas of responsibility:
Guest experience, service quality, and sales, including handling complaints and training the team in this area.
Achieving budget targets for revenue, margin, and guest satisfaction, as well as annual budget preparation together with the CEO.
Finances: purchasing, invoices, payments, revenue, and cost management.
Promotion of group, conference, and après-ski sales together with Operations, Sales, and our Marketing Manager.
Drink, wine, and avec assortment as well as menus, which are developed together with the kitchen and the CEO and implemented in a timely manner.
Purchasing, delivery, and inventory of food and drinks together with the kitchen.
Recruitment, contracts, onboarding, duty scheduling, coaching, and service training of the restaurant and bar teams.
Regular team meetings and appraisal interviews including follow-up, as well as monitoring of staff and service hours.
Waste reduction and support of our environmental goals.
Cash and booking systems, including system configuration.
Compliance with alcohol and drug policy, legal obligations regarding sales, as well as fire protection and safety regulations.
