Cook or Sous Chef

The gastronomy of the Genossenschaft Migros Ostschweiz is diverse, modern and dynamic. Whether Migros-Restaurant, Migros Take away, communal catering or catering services -- we offer every customer a flavorful experience.

Important notes: In summer we have 3 weeks of company holidays as well as 1 week during Christmas/New Year's.

What you move

• You prepare fresh, seasonal dishes - from warm to cold food - and design varied menu plans that inspire our daily guests of 400 - 700 people
• You advise and serve our customers during food service and at the cash desk
• You take care of administrative activities such as ordering or shift planning
• You optimize operational processes and ensure that hygiene guidelines according to Food Safety are consistently implemented
• You plan, produce and implement catering events of 300 - 500 people (approx. 1x per year up to 1500 people), the path to Sous Chef is also a possibility

What you bring

• Education: Completed basic or further education
• Specialization: in gastronomy (Cook or system catering specialist)
• Professional experience: Several years of professional experience as a cook
• You cook passionately and with a high quality standard, enjoy system catering as well as customer contact
• You think in networks, have a quick grasp as well as possess a high level of commitment
• You are a real team player - reliable, flexible and loyal
• Ideally, you bring initial experience in the creation of catering offers
• German (B1)
