Chef de Service

You will lead the service area of our panoramic restaurant professionally and organizationally and support the operations management operationally. You coordinate processes between the restaurant, kitchen, hotel, and railway operations, ensure clear structures, actively shape processes, and take responsibility for the operational quality throughout the entire operation.

Tasks

• Operational responsibility for the complete guest service operation (service, reception, daily and punctual evening operation)
• Coordination of processes between service, kitchen, hotel, and railway operations
• Deployment planning, briefings, and daily organization
• Host role with responsibility for guest care, service quality, and smooth processes
• Leadership, training, and development of the team
• Ensuring quality, cleanliness, and standards
• Care for groups and events
• Further development of service processes in ongoing operations
• Close cooperation with the operations management
• Ensuring service processes during intensive lunch business

Requirements

• High social competence
• Sound experience in gastronomy or hotel management, ideally in dynamic or high-volume operations
• Passion for hospitality and joy in leading guests and teams
• Operational strength and a structured, reliable way of working
• Host personality with natural presence and professional appearance
• Organizational talent, clear communication, and calm leadership even on full days
• Experience in team leadership, training, and development of employees
• Good understanding of wine and interest in regional producers, as well as joy in discovering and further developing suitable wines for our offering
• Knowledge of relevant hygiene and safety standards in the service area
• Willingness to take responsibility and to develop further in the long term

Languages

• German: fluent in speech and writing
• English: fluent in speech is an advantage
• French: fluent in speech is an advantage
• Swiss German: good understanding is an advantage

Specific Knowledge

• POS systems: user and administrator experience
• Accounting systems: user experience
• Word, Excel, Powerpoint: user experience
• Leisure destination Wallis: knowledge and networking are an advantage
• Experience with table or reservation systems is an advantage
• Experience in dealing with high guest volume and fast service cycles is an advantage
