Job Description

As General Manager, you bear overall responsibility for the establishment and ensure excellent operations - both in operational as well as in commercial, financial, and personnel aspects. At the head of multidisciplinary teams, you directly lead all departments, from accommodation and gastronomy to bars, housekeeping, and wellness areas. Thanks to your sound knowledge of the hotel industry, you can contribute concretely to the operational processes and effectively support your department heads. As a true conductor, you ensure the coherence and quality of the customer experience by cultivating an authentic, warm, and detail-oriented hospitality. With particular commitment in the F&B area, you ensure the quality of services, the attractiveness of the gastronomic concepts, and the animation of the various stay areas of the house. As a leader with close presence, you unite, accompany, and promote your employees; as a consistent manager, you steer the budgets, control costs, optimize resources, and analyze performance indicators to ensure sustainable profitability. With your pronounced commercial intuition, you contribute to the reputation of the house, tap into new business opportunities, and maintain close relationships with customers, tourism partners, and local economic actors.

Desired Profile

You have a recognized higher education in the hotel industry and can demonstrate sound leadership experience, which you have ideally acquired in a 3- to 4-star hotel. You combine expertise in the hotel sector, commercial intuition, and an inspiring leadership strength, and you possess excellent knowledge in accommodation operations as well as particularly profound specialist knowledge in the field of gastronomy and F&B, understanding both the operational challenges and the levers for profitability. You feel comfortable in team management and know how to combine strategic foresight, financial discipline, and active presence on site. Thanks to your dynamic personality, your interpersonal competence, and your diplomatic skill, you succeed in motivating your employees and maintaining constructive relationships with a demanding management. As an entrepreneur through and through, you are characterized by independence, judgment, and a genuine sense for the customer experience. Your ability to sustainably integrate into a tourist environment, build a solid local network, and increase the recognition of your establishment beyond the local customer base represents a decisive advantage. You are proficient in German, French, and English in speaking and writing and possess a hotel operating license, ideally in the Canton of Bern.
