The HSLU T&A cafeteria consists of a publicly accessible self-service restaurant with a free-flow area, an integrated cafeteria, and an outdoor location with a 24/5 self-service concept. Every day, up to 400 students, employees, and external guests are surprised with a seasonal, high-quality, and sustainable offering. The entire range is prepared fresh on-site every day. Inspired from all over the world, attractive, regionally inspired, and mostly vegetarian dishes find their way onto our guests' plates. Additionally, we offer a creative catering range tailored to a wide variety of occasions and conduct stand-up lunches, aperitifs, and events.

Are you our new team member who will support us as a Cook: starting from 01. September 2026?

You will work from Monday to Friday at a 100% workload.

Your area of responsibility:

• Preparation of the mise en place at the assigned station
• Production of food at the assigned station (entremetier, gardemanger, saucier, etc.)
• Ensuring the replenishment of the menu lines
• Regenerating / plating the menus during the lunch service
• Collaborating on caterings, aperitifs, and special occasions
• Goods receipt and management of the warehouse
• Contributing ideas for menu design
• Ensuring cleanliness and order at the assigned station
• Carrying out general tidying and cleaning work
• Implementation of ZFV quality and service standards
• Compliance with and implementation of hygiene and occupational safety guidelines

Your strengths:

• Basic training as a Cook: EFZ
• 2-4 years of professional experience in the kitchen
• Good oral and written German skills
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to change
• Willingness to learn
