Job Description – Service Employee Late Shift

Position: Service Employee Late Shift
Department: Food & Beverage / Service
Superior Position: Restaurant Manager / F&B Manager
Working hours: Predominantly late and evening shifts

Main Tasks

• Professional and warm care of our guests during the evening service
• Independent management of an own service station
• Preparation of the restaurant for the evening service including Mise en Place
• Greeting, seating, and competent advice for guests
• Taking food and drink orders as well as their correct forwarding
• Professional serving of food and drinks according to the house standards
• Advising guests regarding food, wines, and other drinks
• Ensuring an attentive, personal, and efficient service flow
• Active sale and recommendation of our food and drink selection
• Professional handling of guest wishes, complaints, and special requests
• Creation and control of guest bills as well as execution of the corresponding payment processes
• Close cooperation with kitchen, bar, Front Office, and other operative departments
• Preparation and execution of the restaurant closing after the end of service
• Execution of the necessary cleaning, tidying, and closing work
• Proper handover of important information to the responsible employees or the next shift
• Compliance with hygiene, HACCP, safety, and quality standards
• Careful handling of goods, operating resources, inventory, and work materials
• Support during banquets, events, and other F&B areas if required

Requirements

• Professional experience in service, ideally in upscale hospitality or gastronomy
• Enjoyment of guest contact and a pronounced host mentality
• Well-groomed and professional appearance
• Independent, reliable, and structured way of working
• Resilience and flexibility, especially during high-frequency service times
• Good team and communication skills
• Readiness for regular shifts in the evening as well as on weekends and public holidays
• Good German and English skills; other languages are an advantage
• Good knowledge in food and drink service as well as ideally basic knowledge in wine service
