Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Allrounder

Restaurant Bermuda in Schaffhausen is a popular and lively meeting point for guests who appreciate a great atmosphere, fine food, and sociable evenings. To provide optimal support to our kitchen team, we are looking for a reliable and hands-on kitchen assistant, starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your main tasks:

• Active support of the kitchen team in the preparation and production of food (mise-en-place)
• Independent peeling, cutting, and preparing of vegetables, salads, and other foodstuffs
• Professional dishwashing and cleaning work (dishes, cutlery, pots, work surfaces, and appliances)
• Compliance with and seamless implementation of hygiene and quality standards according to HACCP guidelines
• Assistance with the receipt of goods and the proper storage of products
• Responsibility for order and cleanliness in the entire kitchen, cooling, and storage area

Requirement profile (What you bring with you):

• Experience: Ideally, initial professional experience in a gastro kitchen is an advantage, but motivated career changers with a strong awareness of hygiene are also welcome
• Flexibility: High commitment and flexibility – the focus of your shifts will be on evening shifts and weekends
• Way of working: Quick comprehension, clean and efficient hands-on mentality even in hectic moments
• Reliability: Punctuality, sense of responsibility, and physical resilience
• Team spirit: Helpful team player who works well with the kitchen and service staff
• Language skills: Good communication in German in everyday work
