Summary of responsibilities* *:

Reporting to the Montreux Jazz Café / Funky Claude's Bar Manager, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Constantly offer professional, pleasant and engaging service
• Replace the Assistant Manager or the Manager during their absence
• Supervise (Manage, train, motivate, recognize and develop) employees of the Montreux Jazz Café and the Funky Claude's Bar
• Ensure the integration and training of new employees
• Know and promote the concepts of the Montreux Jazz Café and the Funky Claude's Bar (History, Festival history, founder)
• Regularly propose improvements, innovations and actively participate in the dynamic development of the Funky Claude's Bar and the Montreux Jazz Café
• Create a good atmosphere and a safe working environment
• Ensure that employees are knowledgeable about hotel standards, events and the region
• Perfectly know the menu of the Montreux Jazz Café, the Funky Claude's Bar and promotions
• Ensure follow-up of the Funky Claude's Bar programming and the resulting follow-up.
• Every morning, collect from the cellar the stock taken out the previous day, verify the exit slip and then sign it.
• Participate in the service and its smooth running
• Take reservations
• Make food and wine pairings and suggest to customers
• Participate in the renewal of the Montreux Jazz Café and Funky Claude's Bar menus
• Maintain the productivity of the outlets
• Assist in the control of stocks and beverage and food costs
• Participate in establishing the restaurant's turnover and the implementation of actions to exceed it
• Participate in the daily closing of cash registers and the restaurant
• Establish schedules and forecasts
• Assist in recruitment, training and evaluations of employees
• Participate in the hotel's F&B training
• Organize daily and monthly meetings
• Handle administrative requests
• Verify the perfect presentation of employees
• Know how Silverware works
• Know and apply technical and emotional LQA standards
• Establish with the Assistant Manager and the Manager action plans following the results of the Opinion Survey, LQA (Leading Quality Assurance, VOG (Voice Of Guest) and ensure follow-up and results
• Respect policies, procedures and service standards relating to points of sale
• Respect all hygiene and safety policies when handling food and beverages
• Have a professional attitude, be smil
