Train Steward

The employer is looking for six:

Train steward / stewardess (reported profession)

Tasks:

• in the dining car, you are the one making the decisions! Personal responsibility and autonomy: you manage the onboard restaurant independently
• serve refreshing drinks and various dishes based on seasonal Swiss products
• prepare dishes by plating them in an appealing way. With your enthusiasm for catering, you create a pleasant atmosphere onboard for every customer
• fundamental is your work organization onboard the train and customer management: - when is the next stop? where is my customer getting off?
• you are responsible for the daily cash closure as well as inventory and orders to our logistics
• naturally, from time to time, you will surely also have calmer moments to "catch your breath". However, most of the time there is a lot to do, it is necessary to have the talent for improvisation. Time flies even on the rails!
• you respect hygiene directives and those regarding occupational safety

Requirements:

• you are a cheerful person and a cordial "host/hostess"
• you boast experience in the service sector, preferably in catering
• you are flexible regarding working hours: morning services (starts at 05:50 hours), evening and on weekends. To reach the place of service, you only have to travel a short distance: you live near Chiasso
• you have good oral knowledge of the Italian language and also of the German or French language, knowledge of other national languages or English is much appreciated
• you are in good health and physically fit to face the work on the train, furthermore you care about having a well-groomed appearance
• your record of executions and your criminal record contain no relevant entries
