The Sternen hotel in Unterwasser, belonging to the Berest group, is the ideal "base camp" of Toggenburg for athletes, families, and food lovers. Cable cars, a heated outdoor pool, a squash and tennis center with outdoor courts, as well as a sports shop offering winter sports equipment rental, are located in the immediate vicinity. The traditional house, situated in a magnificent setting, has 50 comfortable double rooms (also for long-term reservations) as well as a holiday apartment. The three restaurants Toggenburger Stube (with sunny terrace), Arvenstube, and Schwingerstube are authentically furnished. The meeting point for an aperitif or the last drink is the fireplace bar; for seminars and banquets, functional group rooms and atmospheric rooms that can accommodate up to 160 people are available. The culinary offering includes typical Toggenburg dishes with regional products as well as well-known and appreciated classics, most notably the "fondue royale" of wrestling king Nöldi Forrer. The accessible wine cellar offers an ideal setting for a refined aperitif.
