Your area of responsibility: ###

• Around 850 meals are prepared daily at See-Spital Horgen; as a cook in training, you will acquire sound practical knowledge in the hospital's gastronomy area alongside the theory in the vocational school.
• During your three-year apprenticeship, you will work in our large kitchen at the stations Entremetier, Saucier, Gardemanger, and Patisserie.
• You will learn the professional preparation of hot and cold dishes for patients, visitors, and employees.
• In addition to the manual activities in the kitchen, you will learn the basic principles of hygiene for food production.

Your profile: ###

• Secondary school certificate level A or B
• Joy in handling food and in cooking
• Physical resilience, as most work is done standing up.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Resilience even in hectic situations
• Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours and shifts
• Well-groomed appearance as well as high awareness of hygiene
• Sense of responsibility and reliability
• Openness to new things and willingness to learn
