Kitchen Assistant

The employer is looking for a:

Kitchen Assistant – 80% (reported profession)

Tasks:

• collaboration in the preparation of meals and the mise en place of the kitchen and the dining room;
• portioning and distribution of meals to the residents of the CPA;
• management of meal service in the dining room and attention to the needs of the residents;
• preparation and replenishment of refrigerators and correct storage of food supplies;
• maintaining order and cleanliness of the kitchen environments, dining room, storerooms and cold rooms;
• cleaning and correct use of kitchen tools and equipment;
• management and disposal of waste and used linen;
• completion, when requested, of documentation and controls relating to hygiene and service;
• use of IT tools for the management and control of residents' meals, including information relating to dietary needs;
• reporting of any anomalies, breakdowns or need for intervention on equipment;
• collaboration with cooks, kitchen staff and other employees of the facility.

Requirements:

• Federal Certificate of Vocational Education and Training (CFP) as Kitchen Assistant, preferably;
• professional experience in the field of kitchen, catering or socio-sanitary facilities;
• experience gained in hospitals, nursing homes, socio-sanitary facilities or in collective catering constitutes a preferential qualification;
• knowledge of the main professional kitchen tools and equipment;
• knowledge and application of food hygiene and safety standards;
• good IT skills and familiarity with the use of IT programs and systems for the management of meals and information relating to residents;
• good organizational skills and precision in carrying out activities;
• reliability, punctuality and sense of responsibility;
• predisposition to teamwork and spirit of collaboration;
• attention to hygiene, cleanliness and safety;
• good interpersonal skills and respect towards residents;
• discretion and respect for the confidentiality of information;
• flexibility and availability for shift work.
