The network of the Verein Schweizer Jugendherbergen consists of 43 owned and 7 partner youth hostels, ranging from the romantic castle to the urban design establishment to the wellness hostel. The nonprofit organization achieves around 820,000 overnight stays annually. The focus is on quality-conscious, sustainable, and affordable youth and family tourism.

For our youth hostel in Davos, we are looking for the 2026/27 winter season a
COOK, 60-100%
WITH ALL-ROUND FUNCTION
Your tasks

• Responsibility for kitchen organization and the entire F&B offering
• Creation of work schedules as well as execution of orders
• Cooking a simple, varied 3-course menu with fresh, regional products
• Preparation, supervision, and follow-up of the breakfast buffet
• Compliance with and ensuring of hygiene regulations according to HACCP incl. cleaning work
• Assistance in various areas, incl. kitchen and dishwashing
• Responsibility for safety matters in the operation (KOPAS)
• Support of the management in organizational and operational tasks
• Contact person for guests and ensuring a smooth process in daily business

Your profile

• You have completed training as a cook and corresponding experience in the kitchen
• You enjoy cooking and have experience in the preparation of food
• You like to take on responsibility and bring organizational talent as well as initiative
• You work independently, reliably, and are punctual
• You consistently put the guest at the center and act service-oriented
• You are team-oriented and flexibly deployable, as well as open to assignments in the entire operation
• Irregular working hours, weekend and evening shifts as well as split shifts are no problem for you
