L-Hôpital Riviera-Chablais, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is a reference inter-cantonal hospital, which brings together more than 2-000 female and male collaborators. The Centre hospitalier de Rennaz, inaugurated at the end of 2019, has more than 350 acute care beds. It is completed by two Geriatric and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical outpatient clinics. All female and male collaborators invest themselves daily to provide quality care to patients, embodying the values of the institution: authenticity, exemplarity, and innovation.

In order to complete our hospitality and catering unit, we are looking for a:

Professional Waiter M/F in catering EXTRA hourly

The main missions of this position are ###

Catering:

• Ensure professional and attentive service, ensuring the satisfaction and well-being of patients, visitors, and collaborators.
• Set up and perform neat and efficient service in our various catering areas.
• Collect payments for consumption, manage the cash register with rigor and precision, and guarantee impeccable maintenance of workstations.
• Replenish displays and stocks according to the FIFO principle, paying constant attention to the freshness and quality of products.
• Ensure the cleaning, order, and impeccable cleanliness of points of sale, strictly respecting hygiene and safety standards (HACCP, food safety).
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of processes and the maintenance of a welcoming and safe working environment.

Hospitality:

• Warmly welcome patients and visitors, with empathy and professionalism, and respond to their needs with kindness.
• Take meal orders with precision and clarity in the dedicated software, respecting dietary specificities.
• Distribute meal trays and ensure discreet and neat clearing, respecting the rhythm and comfort of patients.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of food service areas, in compliance with hospital hygiene procedures.
• Prepare and arrange equipment and goods with meticulousness and method.

Catering and events:

• Welcome and serve the public during events, guaranteeing a quality experience and smooth service.
• Perform services according to job descriptions, ensuring elegance of presentation and attention to detail.
• Tidy, store, and organize equipment in an optimal and secure manner.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and an orderly workspace.

We require ###

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the traditional hotel-catering sector is required.
• Experience in banquets, catering, or events is highly appreciated.
• Experience in high-end catering and/or in a hospital environment is a valuable asset.

Your skills:

• Excellent knowledge of HACCP standards, proactive sales techniques, and an ability to enhance the products offered.
• Culinary curiosity and oenological interest, with an ability to advise and guide customers.
• Mastery of IT tools (TCPOS, Eventbrite, Logimen would be an asset).
• Fluent French (oral/written) indispensable, English level B2 required, other language(s) welcome.
• A sharp sense of operational excellence, detail, and cleanliness.

Your training:

• A CFC as a catering specialist or recognized equivalent, or significant experience (min. 3 years) in traditional hotel-catering is required.
• Barista training desired.
• Training in hospitality or events is an appreciated asset.
